Casual Admissions

Parents/carers need to complete and return the Casual In-Year Admission Form and places will be offered in accordance with the co-ordinated scheme. In_Year_Application_Form_Sept21

  • Parents can apply for a casual admission at any time during the school year.
  • If no places are available at the time of application, a waiting list will be maintained. Names are kept in priority order according to the oversubscription criteria and not according to how long a child’s name has been on the list.
  • Any place that becomes available will be offered to the child at the top of the list.
  • All vacancies will be allocated as they arise.

We have 210 places in school and up to 60 part-time (30 full-time) places in the Nursery. If you are interested in visiting the school, please contact the school office on 03333 602100 to arrange a tour.

Medway council funds five morning or afternoon sessions for all 3 and 4 year olds in our Nursery and children start fully funded full-time education in the September of the year (1 Sept – 31 August) that they are 5.

Our admission policies can be found here:

If we are over-subscribed the following criteria will be applied in the following order:-

  • children with EHCPs (where we are the named school);
  • children in care;
  • a brother or sister already attends the school;
  • health considerations;
  • multiple birth children (as defined in the Medway co-ordinated admission scheme);
  • nearness to school.

Please complete the Application Form at the top of this section and return it to us via  The Headteacher meets every new family either personally or at a meeting arranged for all children joining our Foundation Stage.

Our priority is to ensure that your child settles happily into school.  We give your child (and you) the opportunity to become familiar with the school, its routines and show how you can help your child make the best of their learning.

Appeals for Year R (Academic Year 2022 – 2023)

19 April 2022. The offer of a place at a school will be given.

17 May 2022. This is the date by which an appeal for Year R for September 2022 must be submitted if you do not want a place at the school you have been allocated. Your appeal should state your reasons for this request. Additional information may be submitted later and full information regarding your appeal will be sent to you once the school receives your initial request in writing.

You are asked to note that, if the appeal is for Year R, (or any other year in KS1) the school is bound by infant class legislation. This means that it is against the law to have more than 30 children in any one class and this number has been allocated according to the school’s over-subscription criteria. Consequently, there are only limited conditions under which an appeal may be upheld. Very, very few appeals, if any, are successful for Years R/1 and 2 at this school because it cannot break the law and have more than 30 children in any one class. For the last few years no appeals have been successful at this school.
