We have 210 places in school and up to 60 part-time (30 full-time) places in the Nursery.
Our Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception) is integrated. Medway council funds five morning or afternoon sessions for all 3 and 4 year olds and children start fully funded full-time education in the September of the year (1 Sept – 31 August) that they are 5.

If we are over-subscribed the following criteria will be applied in the following order:-
- statemented children (where we are the named school);
- children in care;
- a brother or sister is already in school;
- health considerations;
- multiple birth children (as defined in the Medway co-ordinated admission scheme);
- nearness to school.

Our priority is to ensure that your child settles happily into school. We give your child (and you) the opportunity to become familiar with the school, its routines and show how you can help your child make the best of their learning.
APPEALS for Year R – Academic Year 2018/19
16 April 2018. The offer of a place at a school will be given.
16 May 2018. This is the date by which an appeal for Year R for September 2018 must be submitted if you do not want a place at the school you have been allocated. Your appeal should state your reasons for this request. Additional information may be submitted later and full information regarding your appeal will be sent to you once the school receives your initial request in writing.
You are asked to note that, if the appeal is for Year R, (or any other year in KS1) the school is bound by infant class legislation. This means that it is against the law to have more than 30 children in any one class and this number has been allocated according to the school’s over-subscription criteria. Consequently, there are only limited conditions under which an appeal may be upheld. Very, very few appeals, if any, are successful for Years R/1 and 2 at this school because it cannot break the law and have more than 30 children in any one class. For the last few years no appeals have been successful at this school.
Any appeals for this school will be held by 18 July 2018 but you are advised that your chances of success are minimal as stated above.
It is advisable to place your child on the school’s waiting list alongside any appeal request. You are more likely to be given a place from the waiting list than through the appeal process.
Any appeals lodged after 16 May for Reception/‘in-year’ casual admissions will be heard within 30 days of submitting the request.
For applications made in the normal admission round, appeals must be heard within 40 school days of the deadline for lodging appeals. For late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 schools days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 schools days of the appeals being lodged.
