Home Learning – Making Learning Irresistible!

Thank you for all your hard work completing the work teachers have been setting on the website over the past few weeks.

Next term we are very excited to start using Seesaw to post home learning tasks for Years 1-6, (Early years will be continuing to use Tapestry).

Seesaw is an online website and there are many advantages using it to set daily learning rather than our website, here are just a few of them:

  • Children can complete the tasks set at home and send them back to their teacher to be reviewed.
  • Children can complete work on screen using the tools on other site and send it to their teacher. Work may also be evidenced using photographs, short video clips or voice messages depending on the task set – this is only visible to their teacher and is not seen by other students or the public.
  • When the work is sent back, teachers can then approve work if it is correct and add it to the child’s personal online ‘journal’. Teachers can also send work back to students with a comment to review the work and send again back if needed.
  • Teachers can monitor home learning and students are more connected with their teacher during this time.

Please return permission form you have been sent as soon as possible.

On the first day of next term, (Monday 20th April), you will be sent your child’s unique code to access the account.

You will also be sent start up instructions for accessing the site. Seesaw Parent Guide

We look forward to launching this wonderful learning resource.

We miss you all and look forward to working with you on this next term. Have a wonderful Easter Break and stay safe.

These pages have been designed to support our pupils learning from home. In addition to the work packs we sent home, our staff will be uploading resources and links to online resources that the children can access from home. We have designed a series of pages for each Year Group, which we will be updating regularly. We have also included links from this page to some resources that you may want to use with the children, including some links you can scan directly using a QR code. Please scroll down this page to find these resources.
