Beyond the curriculum

Staff regularly volunteer to run after-school and lunch-time clubs.

Governors ensure that at least one club promotes physical fitness – e.g: football.

Others may include:

  • Art
  • Computers
  • Dance
  • Drama
  • Music
  • Cookery
  • Mathematics
  • Story
  • Thinking Skills
  • Gardening
  • Choir
  • Cricket or
  • Signing

From time to time “family” clubs are run.

Clubs start after the first full week following the Summer, Christmas and Easter holidays and finish a full week prior to these breaks.  Application Forms are sent home bi-termly.

You may be asked to contribute to the expenses incurred at after school clubs – the cost of cooking ingredients for example.

Breakfast Club

Currently Breakfast club runs from 7.45am every day.  You can be assured that your child will receive a healthy meal.  It is a social, relaxed time when children are encouraged to be polite and co-operative.  A range of educational activities are available until the start of the school day at 8.30am.
